Auctions

Disintermediation at its finest.

Where can I find auctions on the Web?

  • eBay ~ The 500-pound gorilla of online auctions. It's getting harder for sellers to make money - there's so many auctions going on that it's really a buyer's market. If you are a buyer, you can find some amazing bargains here. I've bought & sold a lot of items on eBay!
  • First Auction ~ Auctions on a variety of items. The hook for this site is their special Flash Auctions, which are super-fast auctions that last only 30 minutes. There are 20 sets of Flash Auctions every day. If you want it fast, you might like First Auction.
  • Internet Auction List ~ This is a comprehensive search engine for all the major auction sites, which ends up covering more than 6 million items. It's a great way to save time & find the best price for the items you want. excellent_star: Excellent! <li;uBid ~ Another auction site, with a lot of computers and other stuff available. uBid does not allow for person to person auctions; instead, uBid auctions items to buyers.

Where can I find auctions that focus on computers & other technology?

  • Egghead.com ~ Sure, they auction off stuff besides computers, but what does Egghead sell? Computer hardware & software. If figures, then, that their best auctions are for computer-related stuff.

Where can I bid for items sold by companies going out of business?

  • Bid4Assets.com ~ They've got everything from domain names to servers. Even real estate. You can find some great bargains here.
