What Mozilla RPMs Should I Install?

Note that these instructions only apply to RPM-based distributions, like Red Hat, Fedora, and SUSE.

Don't use Netscape. It's completely terrible. Use Mozilla, which is the new Netscape 6/7, minus all the annoying AOL stuff.

You should upgrade Mozilla, though, by going to http://www.mozilla.org & downloading the new version. You'll need to install the following files (note that your version numbers may be different):

mozilla-[version_number]-0.i386.rpm
mozilla-chat-[version_number]-0.i386.rpm
mozilla-dom-inspector-[version_number]-0.i386.rpm
mozilla-js-debugger-[version_number]-0.i386.rpm
mozilla-mail-[version_number]-0.i386.rpm
mozilla-nspr-[version_number]-0.i386.rpm
mozilla-nss-[version_number]-0.i386.rpm
mozilla-psm-[version_number]-0.i386.rpm

You only need the dom-inspector & the js-debugger if you're a Web developer.

You need chat only if you like to chat.

You need mail only for the email feature (which I highly recommend to have available).

You absolutely need mozilla, mozilla-nspr, mozilla-nss, & mozilla-psm.
